Hello Cake Club!
I really held out for this one and I hope you’re as excited about rhubarb as I am, or at least almost. Or maybe you know a mother who is because it’s also Mother’s Day on May 12th. I’ll be setting up shop in the corner of The Kebabery on Sunday May 12th with slices of rhubarb cake from 5:30-8 pm. I’m digging back in the cake archives for this dark poppy cake layered with roasted rhubarb and topped with rhubarb icing but sneaking a bit of buckwheat pastry cream in a layer because rhubarb and buckwheat are delicious together and also happen to be related.

Reservations for whole cakes are full, but I’ll have slices for sale and you can come by for a slice post Kebabery dinner from 5:30- until we eat all of the cake!
